which is hilarious because 8 times out of 10 that accusation comes from very well off doughy white people (kate leth, jeph jacques, aaron diaz, zoe quinn, anita sarkeesian, bogleech… etc)
edit: i should note, diversity in itself isnt a bad thing, but a bit ago i made some pictures mocking the new “diverse” character that everone seems to insert into their media (the short, fat, queer-coded brown chick pic. you all remember) that everyone took as me saying that i somehow hate minorities when the picture was illustrating that i hate the fuckin archetype (IE write/create good stories/characters, dont just make a LABEL)

And then people like Dobson and Kate Leth wonder why people think they’re phonies.
There’s already shows and comics that are about people simply dating. A lot of them, in fact, many of which have all the diversity you want. But tweets like this shows that this isn’t what you want. You see things other people like, and want to take those things away. That is your end game. It’s a narcissistic disorder. You just have to have control over anything you see normal people doing because you can’t partake in joyful things like normal people do.
Get help, really.

Which is just wildly inappropriate for any therapist to say, it’s just totally crazy, I can’t believe they’d say such things, I personally don’t approve but hey I’m not a therapist so I can’t say if they’re right or wrong to give such advise.

Kate Leth doesn’t just want men out of comics, she wants other women (the ones that are more successful than her and don’t constantly rely on lifting from established intellectual properties) out of comics too.
The decision was made before Gamergate, Gawker says.Gawker Media is promoting the man who publicly announced that we “should bring back bullying.” and that nerds should be bullied and humiliated into submission. It was then found out that he got a raise for “making gamers cry.”
His tweets could be considered Gawker Media’s greatest fuckup as it led to GamerGate emailing the advertisers of Gawker Media urging them to pull out of a company that condones bullying.
Even though this decision was made before GamerGate, it is still an incredibly stupid idea to promote someone who has led to such a travesty in PR for a company. It shows that Gawker does not punish employees for going out and advocating abuse towards demographics of people.
What else could have Biddle gotten away with and still keep the promotion? His stunt has costed Gawker media thousands of dollars according to Max Read, one of Gawker’s editors. It seems as if Gawker offers no punishment to unruly employees. He might as well have said something horribly racist and then advocated for genocide of the unabled; I doubt Gawker would have fired him even there.
This just goes to show you the kind of people and companies GamerGate is in opposition to and why we fight. This sort of corruption is still going on and they will try to hide it as best as they can by claiming GamerGate is only about sexism and harassment. Don’t let them get away with spinning the narrative. Call them out on their bullshit and keep the topics focused.
I have said it before and will say it again. This clueless fucking person (since he appears to be capable of using doors, at least) is an onion on top of a stack of dog shits.
